Preparation and Well-being
This multi-day, interactive leadership retreat is the beginning of a journey of inner work for outer impact. As part of this experience, we will take a close look at where our EI and mindfulness skill levels are, the quality of our leadership presence, power, and capacity for positive impact as well as engage in moments of introspection, self-reflection, application, and group activities, exercises and discussions.
Prior to the retreat, be sure to rest, eat well and give yourself enough time to complete the (brief) pre-retreat assignments so you can make the most of your time at the retreat. Also, when integrating secular mindfulness practices with leadership development training, sometimes strong emotions can arise. If you are currently experiencing trauma and/or are under the care of a therapist, we encourage you to discuss the retreat program with your therapist prior to participation.
Group Discounts and Partial Scholarships
We strive to make each retreat experience diverse and inclusive across a spectrum of leadership communities. We also offer 10% discount per registration for teams of 5 or more as well as a limited number of partial scholarships to participants in need. If you, or someone you know, is in need of financial assistance, please complete and submit this scholarship request form. If you would like to receive a group discount, please email Michelle@Lucenscia.com.
Cancellations, Refunds and Registration Transfers
Except in the event of program cancellation, retreat registrations are non-refundable. However, although registration closes on September 9, 2019, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time prior to September 30, 2019, by sending an email to Michelle@Lucenscia.com.
Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You may view travel insurance options through providers such as Travel Guard, Romright, Insure My Trip or other provider to choose an option that is best for you.
We reserve the right to cancel the program if minimum registrations are not received. If the program is cancelled, your retreat tuition registration will be refunded in full. (Garrison Institute room reservations must be handled separately by participants with the Garrison Institute.)
A Little About The Leadership Study
Measure your state of mindfulness as it varies across the day and week. We will help you understand what augments and diminishes your capacity to be mindful and self-aware so you may be aware of the unique factors that affect your attention.
Assess emotional intelligence skills via 360 assessments to combine with mindfulness data to form an integrated development approach for both skill sets.
Analyze your attention and self-regulatory resources, pre- and post- program, so you may understand how your states of mindfulness and self-awareness change over time.
Coach you on your unique “mindfulness signature” and EI competencies based on pre- and post- retreat program data. As part of the coaching sessions, we will propose practices and techniques to help cultivate your capacity for mindful and emotionally intelligent leadership.
